Dena ... I am 100% serious when I consider that swing to be a "model swing". I use that swing clip to refer to positive attributes that I want to see in young lady's swings.

It is us that is thanking you! Thank you!!

If you have any more swing clips of yourself then we'd welcome them. We'll put them to good use in terms of helping developing hitters.

I agree with FFS...so many good things about this swing...Dena, is there any chance that you can walk us through some of the stuff you worked on to hit the rise or high fastball?

I use this clip to show how Dena's front foot is down on time with the shoulders still closed and the hands still back and up ready to strike....so simple...just a smooth swing!

Dena - the position you get to in this collection of still photos is why I like your swing (top right).

Of course my father (Marty Tyson) has been my hitting instructor my whole life... And I use to drop my hands a lot in highschool so he kept me doing a lot of high tee and high toss. A huge thing I attribute my success to is in 2007 addition, slot/connection and bat lag really hit the scene and I worked very hard on that and was able to master keeping my hands inside the ball.

I like how you relate "slot/connection" to keeping your hands inside the ball.

I was thinking the same thing, but for catchers. Would love to show DD some catching videos.
