I have been working with my daughter for quite some time now. The first significant problem we had to get pass was the dreadful DBSF which brought me to this site. Well after a long and painful journey I am happy to say I believe she may have that whipped. Now once again we will start on our next journey. Before I Ever started to educate myself from this site she has had the problem of going all forward and having still hands throughout the loading process. Which I believe is causing her to hit weak balls to the opposite side or always looking late on pitches? So that's what we started working on and I truly believe that through my subpar teachings I inadvertently caused her to develop DBSF that plagued her for an entire season. So now that I believe we made it passed the DBSF issue I am very gun shy about trying to work with her on the all forward stuff. I would greatly appreciate if you guys would take a look at her videos and give me some suggestions on going forward or tell me that I am wrong and that all forward is not the major concern right now.

She looks to be very athletic.
She starts once, twice before the ball comes. Then all back all forward.
I am sure she could be a big hitter when her sequence gets straighten out.

My daughter above on right has her hands go back as she steps out
Same as bustos.
That creates space between hands and back hip. When done with slow rhythm, it allows the lower half hips to work under the upper half.

Looks like a serious hitter to me. Excellent bat speed. Good job coach.

When she brings her plant foot forward have her 'walk away' from her hands. You can have her pretend there Is a rubber band running from her front foot to her hands Have her stretch that band when she strides.

Also dont forget to have her study what a swing should be, she will see what she is doing right and what she can add to generate a little more pop. This helps with my DD when experimenting with new mechanics.

Thanks SL
When I originally started working with her that is exactly what I tried teaching her the Bustos clip of walking away from the hands. In my head I want to believe that I wasn't explaining it to her in a way she would understand even though she repeatedly said she did . Which she was doing a good job of walking away from the hands but was failing to launch maybe with her new understanding of the hands will help

That is something we speak of often even used a big resistance band a few times.

I believe I see the making of separation but the pause puts an end to it. Do you see the same?

Yes, see the same. Would first remove the pause.

Simple drill ....

Have your daughter say "Swing Now" as she swings ... as in "Swwwiiiinnnnngggggggggg NOW!!" She begins saying this as she begins to weight her rear leg, and doesn't pause in saying this until saying "NOW!!" going into impact.

What will happen is that she'll find herself pausing the phrase "Swwwiiiinnnnngggggggggg NOW!!" when she physically pauses. This will help her capture the feel and allow her to keep working through the removal of the pause.

Keep doing the drill until she can fluidly say "Swwwiiiinnnnngggggggggg NOW!!" without a pause.

Not here.
Let's see the swing without the pause.

The 'pause' can be changed to a 'tap back' that Bonds used. That would help eliminate the pause/stop then start.
I do like her swing.
I'm wondering what do you use to pitch the ball and does that 'create' the pause and wait.

I was trying to think of something like that thanks. I remember seeing a video of Albert Poujos talking about thinking of himself and pitcher as a clock trying to get synced up. Tickkkkkkkkkkkk Tock
