Nope. I'm not bothered by the fact that I've made some mis-steps along the way in my DD's hitting journey. Not once have I ever claimed to be anything other than a guy trying to learn. I also know that some of the concepts that you didn't agree with turned out to be very helpful for my DD. What does bother me is that I have SPECIFICALLY requested, in both PM and on the forum, that you refrain from making comments about my DD and/or my instruction of her. You burned that bridge with me quite a while ago. This IS specifically directed at you, and your repeated refusal of my request is what makes you low-class.

You shouldn't be bothered by your mistakes, but more consumed in continuing to improve.

The comment about your coaching of your daughter was intended as tongue-in-cheek ... something that you admittedly like to engage in. But honestly, I'd rather engage in hitting discussions.

Does it bother you that Mann understood the relationship.

Are you back to pretending you "do" or "do not" understand what Mann pointed out?

Why do you bring up other people? fight your own battles wanker. And answer the question. Were you saying that Pujols is doing something similar as the clip I posted? And doesn't that imply that the clip is of some value?

EricF, don't play stupid. You aren't new to message boards. Good technical discussion often breaks out in the middle of a thread on a somewhat divergent hitting topic.

Yes, topics tend to drift in a lot of hitting threads. It's also real easy to say "new thread!", and start a new thread. This makes the topic easier to find in the future, rather than trying to hunt through 62 pages of a thread on a different topic to find a nugget of useful information.

I posted a demonstration performed by Pujols that was somewhat related to the video you posted.

Others saw the comparison. Others perceived some benefit. You can make up your own mind if you agree or disagree.

Attempting to have a direct discussion with you is pointless on my end. The video was posted to help you out. Mann supplied the answer to your question. Why you make a big deal of this is beyond me ... but it is the way you frequently operate.

EricF, ... I hear you ... I wish topics were better organized ... the situation is the same on virtually every public message board ... it's the nature of the beast. What I continue to find interesting is that you continue to selectively whine about this to me, and not to the many others that are bringing up divergent topics. Think about it ... and you might grasp why I perceive that you are grasping at straws here and simply back to playing another of your games.

Dodgy of course, but I think you are saying "yes, I think Pujols is doing something similar as what the guy in your clip is doing"...great...then how can you disagree with a clip from the same folks that reinforces that A-C swing? The trouble with your Huff Post approach to hitting is that if you are always just aggregating pieces with no actual thought of your own and always trying to point out how others are wrong then it is really hard to be self consistent. You are bound to do something stupid like that Pujols comparison.

The question that you probably should answer to yourself is the question you initially asked when you made the A-C post. Then ask if you believe that Pujols is doing anything similar to the A-C video you posted. Then ask if Pujols might truly be feeling something like this in his regular swing, that he is demonstrating in the demo. Then wrestle a bit with what he may be actually feeling. Then ask yourself if you believe Mann is correct.

I don't need to know any of your answers. Just some potential questions you may wish to consider. If not ... then that's fine too.

There is nothing in that clip that deserves consideration. It is solely focused on the mistaken belief that you hit down on the ball, that you want to hit down to create backspin, that you do not turn the barrel, the second clip re-enforces that. it has absolutely no relationship to how Pujols swings a bat. It is the exact opposite of how Pujols swings a bat in fact. For you to try to link them is assinine. Mann can comment on what he meant, but from what I saw of his posts he thought the clip I posted was junk and that there was value in what Pujols was explaining but that the two were very much not the same thing.

I am sure Five Frame Fool approves of this as well since it is just more reinforcing of what was shown in the other clip. How he agrees with this and thinks Pujols is doing something similar is beyond me but I guess he has his reasons.

Had me scratching my head within 20 seconds when he said create a downward swing, hitting the top half of the ball to create backspin.... this does not compute, this does not compute, this does not compute :)
