All i can say is WOW......nice downward swing plane(sarcasm) just shows you how much everyone needs to use the Hanson Principle as a guide when using anything off of the net.... Regardless if this video is a project meant for instruction or not you should at least do some reserch before doing a video like this.....WOW

She mentions the follow through after extension being important to achieve "Full transfer of momentum to the ball". Now after contact and extension wouldn't you hope the ball was going anywhere but where your bat follows through to.
Too many catch phrases and not enough simple truth.

Who is to say which information is 'good' and which information is 'bad'?

The point is ... that there is not 100% agreement on ideas ... and hence we have to hope for discussions to take place and for people to chose wisely.

FFS hits the nail right on the head with this one. DFP is a discussion forum. We don't have a particular product or methodology to sell (unlike some sites on the Internet), and while we do tend to end up with some general consensus on certain aspects it comes through open discussion, not something that is being dictated by one person. Not saying there's anything necessarily wrong with that model either, just that it's not OUR model.

The problem with deciding what's good and what's bad is where to draw the line. There are certain drills or techniques that are clearly going to do more harm than good. We could probably all agree on getting rid of those. But then there are others that some will think are terrible while others swear by. Who decides which ones stay and which ones go? Now you're no longer fostering discussion, but dictating a decision. And what if the decision-maker is wrong?

The preference here is to encourage discussion, and let "market forces" dictate what advice should be followed and what should be avoided. Where there is no clear consensus, it's up to each individual to determine the validity of a particular drill or technique by evaluating it, testing, using the Hanson Principle, etc. Bad drills are usually dismissed pretty quickly in our little world.

Well said Ken!!!

We simply all need to try our best to keep the discussions oriented on technical aspects ... and not geared towards various personalities. It's all about the specifics.

Not here.
This would be the path if Pujols took the barrel right to the ball as the girl demos.

This is the path that the barrel takes to the ball:
