Is there no way to clean up sticky threads such that there is only good information in them???

Who is to say which information is 'good' and which information is 'bad'?

Case in point, there is a common post of a reverse top-hand swing drill that is being performed in a manner that inhibits extension, but the moderator has asked me to not include GIFs highlighting that, and hence we let the information go.

Likewise there is instruction to promote a forced Elvis type action with the back foot ... and while that may appear wise on the surface, it inhibits the reactionary movement important in achieving ideal synchronization.

You saw first hand how someone felt loyal to JohnT's instruction on hitting a riseball ... and despite it obviously defying the Hanson Principle, they stuck to defending it.

The point is ... that there is not 100% agreement on ideas ... and hence we have to hope for discussions to take place and for people to chose wisely.

In fairness to this young lady this may be a school project. It almost looks like the assignment was producing a how to video and she chose softball. maybe...I hope.

Lindsey Weaver is beyond high school. She is a sophomore at Kansas Wesleyan University.

Here is one of her videos.

I think she is clueless regarding her comment at 1:20-ish where she says you can even be Jewish or whatever … really shows a side of being “open minded”.

In any event ... she plays softball in college. She is near the end of her playing career ... and this is the information she is sharing as of one year ago.

Some of my players from this past fall just got a new high school coach. I ran into one of these players and asked her about the new coach. She said, "She'll be really good. She played in college, and even in Switzerland." I thought, "Switzerland? Well, then, she'll be absolutely phenomenal."

Having played softball in college is not a sufficient condition to being a good coach.
Having played in Switzerland adds nothing over having played in the U.S. or Japan or on the Moon.

At the end of the video Lindsey performs three 'fluid' swing examples. Here's one of them.

Reminds me a bit of the the top-hand path promoted here .....

I'm a bit sensitive to this Lindsey swing (at least the barrel straight down to the ball), because it seems to be what some of my players are hearing in their high school pre-season practices.

Notice how her barrel bottoms out well past the point of where contact should be. Definitely a very flawed instruction.

At least she ignored her own advice of aligning the door knocking knuckles.

What we have here is a person that means well .... but who is unfortunately doing more harm than good.
