Ok that was fun. Can I get some feed back please, because dad doesn't know what he's talking about apparently. I tell her she will always have a problem with hitting the inside pitch with her starting stance. But on the same note she gets into a good heal plant. Anyway any comments please.

I noticed that. But, I would expect her to adjust, when the ball is released. The bat angle is all wrong. Well, several things are wrong. I would like to see video - because,I think she is going to a different stance from there.

What do you mean "The bat angle is all wrong" Is that at stance, or on swing plane? Once the pitch is release she turns her foot to what I would call a normal spot for her foot and then she plants, and then you see the second picture. There are times when she is swinging out of her shoes where all her weight is on the front. She is our 3/4 hitter depending on the team we play. She will go 4 for 4 or she will go 0 for 4 depending on her mode I guess. She has a lot of power when she does swing correctly. but mostly hits to pitcher and second and first, during the 0 for 4 days.

Amy is right. She is stepping or striding to a different stance. Looks like a powerful athlete. She has problems in her swing but it's not her foot. I rather like her starting foot position. Basically she pre-loads her pelvis. Depending on what she does with that in the video clip it may be a good thing. Spend some time here Analysis comparing to what your DD does and try to get us a video clip if you would.

I think she means swing plane and arm position. I would.

Yep.

There are times when she is swinging out of her shoes where all her weight is on the front..

Weight SHOULD be on the front foot during part of the swing.

She is our 3/4 hitter depending on the team we play. She will go 4 for 4 or she will go 0 for 4 depending on her mode I guess. She has a lot of power.

No doubt.

when she does swing correctly..

I don't think you know enough to make that call. That may sound blunt but I'd rather hurt your feelings and save your daughter some grief.

Yeah, she has mechanical issues clearly from the stills so I'm not surprised she has consistency issues just as I'm not surprised she shows power. A video clip would help a lot.

Not sure why anyone gets hung up on stance. Her stance shoule be athletic and comfortable and allow her to get in a good position to hit. I don't see a stance issue or any major mechanical issues. The issue in the picture in mu opinion is she's reaching for the ball. She's already extended before the point of contact. That's the same reason she's grounding out alot. If her left arm was tighter to her chest and the right arm was at closer to 90 degrees when she hit the ball, she would hit more line drives and less ground balls. In this picture she hasn't struck the ball yet and she's almost fully extended. On an inside pitch, she should "maintain the box" and only extend after contact. I don't see any bat angle issues personally.

The issues you see are some of the same issues I see. It will be interesting when we get a video.

Video or more pictures a must. We have no idea how she gets from picture #1 to picture #2 (what path her hands and the bat take on the negative move and to contact)
