Grogger, See if this makes sense to you. In the clip below(Josh Donaldson) take a look at where the knob of the bat is pointing from the time He starts to shift His weight onto the rear leg until the front foot is weighted(foot plant). It's pointing back towards the catcher's feet. Your kiddo(and this is very common) is in a hurry to make that knob point in the direction of the incoming pitch. In doing so She takes a short cut that bypasses some very important hand/barrel loading action.
Next look at the direction the barrel takes when Josh is loading His hands just before His front foot becomes weighted. It chases His rear elbow back behind Him then around the body. Your kiddo skips that part of the barrel loading and makes the barrel go towards the catcher instead of following the elbow.
I would get Her to keep the knob pointing at the catcher's feet longer perhaps exaggerating that movement then get the barrel to chase the rear elbow back BEHIND Her. It's the same advice you've been given just different words. Good luck... She really has a nice swing. It's a small change in the grand scheme of things.

Notice how the back knees are doing the complete opposites. His extends during the loading and then flexs, she is flexed and then extends.

If the back elbow is low they do not start that cocked. You need to watch her and focus on the back elbow. Watch how the back elbow leads her hands. Just zero in it and you should see it. You've seen it on video and with a little practice you will see it, that part isn't to fast that with a little practice you will see it and correct it right away. Your like a mirror, identify the flaw and correct it. With any correction you start out slow, 40%, 50% and so on.. AND at the same time I would have her finish away from her body more.

There lots of very, very good stuff happening in the Donaldson clip. Compared to the kid they tell a tale.

Jim Dixon called it the ready mode. Motor control expert called it tonus. Tonus meaning the body already knows what to do. I've heard it called having a hitters attitude ,confidence or being athletic. He has IT and she doesn't. So what are they doing differently?

Just an example would be she is just shifting weight back or swaying. The back knee flexes during the movement, the body shifts back closer to over the back knee. Donaldson has the body out in front of the back knee. When the pelvis loads, including the lower trunk, the knee extends and the body is lifted. He is hanging out infront of the back foot foot. Just hanging in mid air, or defying gravity. The body is out front and really doesn't move that much forward or backwards.

Another example would be her hands and weight go back together and come forward together in the unload. Or should I say the back elbow moves forward. In which there is a break down in stability ,which is a break down in what is called loading.. He doesn't begin to really begin load the upper body until the lower trunk is stable.

The swing begins from the middle out. You can learn allot from video.

It was watching swings with a low elbow that led me to an aha-moment.

I c his coil, running start and his hands turning the barrel (reward). His hands do not start forward.

Bottom gif, is this considered launch? If not what part of the gif from above can u freeze and repost.

There are a couple of girls from dd's team who start like this. But as soon as they start their swing, their back elbow gets sucked in to their side and it leads the hands.
