If a drill such as the SnF works then it isn't important who's concept it is but rather appreciate the thought that went in to it and take advantage of it.

Whether someone believes in their stuff or not is irrelevant. The question is whether it works.

If a drill works, then it should be obvious, or at least explainable, why it works.

IMO, most of TM's stuff is just reworded or repackaged stuff that other people talk about. The stuff that does work has at their core old ideas like staying back in the back leg.

As Jim Booth has pointed out, they work but not for the reasons people think.

P.S. I view most of the TM guys here as mere salesmen. TM is banned from his site, so he has recruited others to get his message out.

I have received a lot of help from many, and not a single one has pitched me on any products or tried to sell me anything. You are way off base. If this is TMs message, I am thankful someone is getting it out....

Sorry I am a little hyped, I just watched crankermo's DD's video about 10 times... ;-)

OK, Chris - this guy is your model hitter. Any idea why his back leg moves like it does? Why even though it straightens it is IRing the whole time? Why didn't you just teach this to Torres?

Sorry to sound ignorant, but what is the SnF drill? I know it stands for Stretch n Fire, but is there a clip showing the drill anywhere? Thanks

I too have been looking for the actual drill. Someone mentioned it's in that other hitting thread that's 40+ pages long.

Following these arguments/debates is entertaining and can absolutely reveal truths as people make their points clear (or can't make them clear), but at some point you have to choose your horse, put on your own saddle --customized to your specific needs and first-hand experience--and ride it. You'll get further that way ; >

And while you should be open to new ideas, you can't frankenstein it, taking pieces from everybody. Not all info put forward fits together, like SNF and "the move" don't work together (IMO). But you can certainly use the move to create an aggressive, athletic swing. But you'll lose the essence of SNF...

Whether you want to be a d*ck toward other people is a personal style choice too -- and an inevitable outcome in any discussion board on any topic...in the end though, it's the info that counts, and not who you know/can name drop, whether you're "in the profession" or not or who can be the most condescending and dismissive...

Which turns into this

Adding in the lower back initiating the pull back....sorry about the clip - I did this with my phone set up on a chair.

Once you figure out the lower back - all of the things that we have talked about fall into place....
