Well I'm not sure if its fair to her for taking a video of her just starting back but here we go.
What I see. She needs to drive more off her rear leg. Her front foot needs to be slightly more open at foot plant.
She starts with her hands higher than I like. I think a lot of that will come back to her after she gets a few more practices under her belt.
But.
Is she turning the Barrel?

Any thoughts or comments?

Also any help saving the video in 60fps would be good.
Thanks

She spins on her back foot, bug squish, yes she could drive her back leg. She sure does swing that bat with intent to cause damage, that is good. The hip leads the hands, it is hard to tell with the speed of the video.

Big time bug squisher ..Her grip on the bat appears to be way back into her palms and perhaps her knuckles are cranked around..When she loads it looks like she in rolling over on her back foot instead of focusing the weight on the inside and feeling the pressure build up..Her focus is on the Tee and not on the pitcher..Looks like that focus point is over counter rotating her shoulders..Video is to fast to see beyond this point for me..

I would first look at the grip and focus on the lower half..

Hopefully somebody will slow the video down for you so we can get a better look..

I think the drill with something behind her foot I saw someone use a concrete block would work well it would force her to push instead of twist. Her front foot does not look too bad to me.

I think her swing actually looks pretty good along with you I am not a fan of starting so high with her hands maybe just see if she could come down a little to start I can't see because of angle but it looks like she has the bat wrapped behind her head a little which bringing her hands down might help with.

So for easy starters: hands down and push forward instead of twist.

There are people here that would kill for her bat speed. Close that rear hip let her rip, Learn how the back half works just a bit.... then watch her give a pitcher a worthectomy

PS. I forgot to add.............. Bat speed kills

The bug squish is a bit of an issue, but at point of contact it's not that bad. She has an awesome swing! If that's what she has with front toss/live pitch she'll do great.

Tweak her but be careful not to lose what's there! I like the knee lift, also. Bring it just a tad more across the body.

There is so much to like here but that front foot is a major concern to me. It is fully closed at contact. She rips her hips hard and that front knee is taking the brunt of the hip turn, not allowing her hips to finish and putting a ton of force on that knee. Don't worry about barrel turn right now. Fix that front foot before she hurts her knee.

I would make a small adjustment. Slow down the start of the sequence, ride the inside of the leg to where she lands on the front foot softer.
If she lands on the inside edge of her front foot softer, her hips will work better, transfer weight better and not get stopped sharply with a hard landing front foot.
Be more flow.
Slow then go
Keep her bat speed

Hi Stv,

Is she turning the barrel? Can't see that clear since the clip is cut off - but I would say no.

The back leg needs some work - I like the way she turns her upper body back, but her back leg (specifically her upper leg) needs to be applying force in forward direction towards her groin the whole time....once she gets this the front leg issue will disappear....

Turn the back foot in like it is pigeon toed and take the same swing not allowing the rear upper leg to turn back with the upper body....having the back foot turned in will restrict the amount of upper body turning back to tighten things up....constant pressure of the upper leg towards the pitcher....the pressure should be felt in her groin area - not in her knee and not in her foot....
