Cabrera crotch, it STOPS, BEFORE he swings.

Yes. Kemps's crotch never really moves much. Both of them still have the larger portion of weight on their rear side. The weight is the pulled forward/shifted with their swing.
The crotch could be an indicator of movement, but I and high level hitters can move forward with a majority of weight on the rear side (forward with coil).

i agree that high level hitters move foreward with coil, its what i teach..

IN CABRARAS CLIP, his FOOT is DOWN, and WEIGHTED, before he swings. the weight is not MOSTLEY on the back side.

When you say shift and swing, and you are talking about COG, the giff of CABRERA, shows some flaws in this thinking.

Maybe its not a given

Ok....you teach coiling...which is coiling into the rear leg or hip....what is the point of coiling, if you have shifted everything to the front side before you swing?

Here's one with Jen Sailing showing nice forward with coil. You can easily see her weight is shifting with her swing. Only her front toes are down when her swing is starting.

Allan Craig's swing is started before the pause. At the pause his front foot isn't even on the ground. He can't have already shifted his weight to the front foot if it isn't even on the ground.

the difference between stomping the front foot down and the back leg controlling the stride....

Well, well, thanks for hanging in there red hot.
So the START of the swing would be the hips uncoiling?

In my mind the start of the swing would be slot, the barrel moving towards ball.

You see, to me, shift then swing = seperation.

Are you just saying dont put all your weight down, then uncoil? or the heal drop does not trigger the swing?

Look at the swings I have already posted...

At Cabrera's largest point of separation (which I believe occurs between his hands and rear hip) between any points, his foot is still off of the ground.

No, you don't put all your weight down then uncoil...actually you never really try to uncoil...the tightest point of the coil is usually when the rear knee is driving in.

No the heel drop does not trigger the swing.

Here is one of Buster's front side catching his rear side drive:

I don't think his foot would be skidding like that if all his weight were on it.

I can post and show Bonds, but really looking at him, might be too much to handle.
