Looks to me from the video that she is leaning way back and never gets off her back side. Her swing seems to be arm/hand-driven - no real body helping to propel the bat. Any turn she gets is follow-through. The hips should lead, followed by the shoulders, followed by the bat.

Watch her back foot. It doesn't look like it gets fully turned until after contact. That should happen before contact.

At toe touch her front shoulder should be lower than her back shoulder. It's the opposite - more indication of her staying on the back side instead of shifting her weight/momentum into the ball. I'd probably fix that first and see if it helps some of the other issues.

rdbass,

Can you post the gif or image of Cabrera with the tilted shoulders on load. She is loading and launching with her back shoulder and elbow lower than her front. She needs to reverse this and load with her back should and elbow above her front. Also needs to move the tee back some.

This is a good call (as is MTS noting that in the other swing she's fully extended at contact)....to solve the first problem reference the Cabrera image above and also look up some recent posts from Hyp about working down to and up through the ball. To solve the extended-at-contact problem see the image below and start to teach her about where about the strong bent arm position at contact (ie, not extended at contact)...moving the tee back should help a bit but she needs a better mental picture of what contact should look like too:

I would start from the beginning while some things are style and can be OK I think the starting position has to do alot with her improper mechanics.

Watch the the two videos she starts with the bat on her shoulder (standing tall), then brings it off her shoulder dipping her shoulder and hands, then she has to get the bat back and in her case up again then she has to bring the bat forward again there is no way to do this without screwing up your timing and mechanics.

Watch her hands in the video and watch Cabrerra's, that is where I would start; notice how little his hands move in comparison. Have her bring the bat off her shoulders to start (and bend her knees and upper body to a more naturally athletic position) then instead of down and back all she has to do is back, which she is doing OK; from a timing stand point she will have to hold the bat back longer since she does not have all that movement but that is OK since that is a good thing.

Take a look at how much the front shoulder moves compared to her hands....she is using her upper torso to power the swing....her hands are getting left behind as the front arm lengthens....it is the reason the shoulders are fully rotated by the time she gets to contact and her arms are fully extended...

It looks like you have room - throw bats in the screen towards center field - I am guessing that at first she will throw the bat into left field.....instant feedback...
