I can do it fairly accurately but would rather watch the girls mechanics and few of my other parents are any good at it.

Axiom, Easton, Jugs, ATEC, Mauer quickswing, Wheeler Dealer, Backyard Batter, Tru-Toss and many many others.

The Easton has caught my eye and uses most any type ball and is under $200. Any thoughts?

thanks, Jeff

I own the Jugs Toss machine and I love it. A girl can hit 12 balls on her own in the garage.

Also, look at Pop Toss. It is really getting good reviews among the men that use it.

Soft toss machines are good tools for kids to use to get a lot of swing reps in everyday, to work on swing mechanics and to help improve hand-eye coordination.
One machine that alot of coaches and parents use in our area is the Ultimate Hitting Machine. If you do a Yahoo search on this, you'll find the best price is here. (Beebe Sports Inc.)

This machine is durable, very user friendly, requires no electricity or batteries, easily transportable, for both boys and girls, and best of all it's very reasonably priced and kids love to hit off it.

The men are slow pitch. But the customer service is getting good reviews. I e-mailed them to see how many I would have to sell, to be able to get a free one. I don't remember what they said, but they do have some options for dealers.

Thanks for the info on the PopToss. Looks interesting and given the price, I could see a drill having 2-3 set up with different release times aiming at different areas of the strike zone. They will probably do well with that device. I think the Easton or Jugs soft toss might be in my future. I have converted a Strike Zone frame into a front toss barrier and have seen some improvement with my daughter. However, I can see a real advantage of having a station that they can do on their own for the most part. I teach a very small stride, really only a toe touch-heel plant so I don't know how the UHM would work with some of my kids.

From what I've seen, the UHM (Beebe Sports Inc.) can help prevent kids from striding. Best way to use it, is have kids keep their foot on launch pad after they step down on it (to launch the ball), then just load up and go through their normal rotational swing as ball starts back down.
