I also have a video that my DH sent me from coaches eye. I don't know how to embed video though. It is a swing at practice not off a tee.

Thanks,
Nikki

Hands are too high in stance. They have a long way to go to get into launch position. Negative move has too much weight going back as seen by the back knee being directly over the the back foot. Shes got good pop but these flaws will show on live pitching

I saw the same things. Just wonder how much this is a sloppy tee swing or the real thing (swing).

RDbass,

Check out the lowerbody load, she is not loading or screwing the back leg/hip into the ground. She is all load (get the weigh back), waits, and then unloads. All back and "then" all forward. Like you say what loads must unload. She is a perfect example of not loading and never stopping loading.

RDbass,

Like you say what loads must unload.

I think you are taking that quote out of context..it refers to the idea that the scap is not being loaded because "what loads must unload" and in some circles (pun intended) the thought is that the scap never unloads...

To me this young lady needs to simplify things..she has too many moving parts that she isn't able to coordinate well. On the tee, and maybe even front toss,
get her into a good coiled position (e.g. as you mentioned get her back foot screwed in, coil against her back hip with her lower and upper back) and just swing from there with no stride to start off with. Of course IMHO (and everybody has seen "my work" so MHO may not carry much weight :D )

Yeah I thought the same thing after I posted that info.

Yes, screw the back hip/leg into the round should "stabilize" the back hip and improve or create a good coiling action. The current loading action in the lowerbody and upperbody needs work, As mentioned the hips/upperbody shouldn't stack over the back leg/foot.

Here is her live swing. I appreciate feedback but I should clarify that I don’t know much in the way of technical swings. If there are drills or videos that explain what you think needs work that would be helpful.

I will say - she sees the ball well and rarely strikes out. She plays 14A on an 05 team. She finished the fall with a BA of .511, OBP of .593, an OPB of 1.304, & SLG .711. Her team just had an indoor tournament at Missouri Western with space for full size fields and she batted .741 in 4 games with a HR and 6 RBI’s. She is starting to think more about playing at the next level and wants to improve, which is why we would love some videos or drills if possible.

TIA
