The feeling of a negative move can be as simple as weighting the back heel for some. I try to describe a ‘K’ formation when at the ‘end’ of the negative move transitioning into a positive move. With extra emphasis on a tall backside.

When teaching a negative move I prefer slow controlled actions until the feel is perfected. That usually gets the ‘feelers’ going.

5,

Would the binding feeling you describe be the energy created during the negative move, just moving up the ‘chain’ from the ground into the rear glute/hip? Or from the frontside (upfront actions)? Or both?

1: Talk to me more about this 'K' formation. Today during one of the hitting sessions I asked what letters might be seen in my swing during that segment of the swing. One hitter saw a 'K'. I scratched my head. I wish I took the time to ask her where this 'K' was.

2: The hip/glute loading of the rear hip can be realized simply by weighting the rear leg and feeling the energy flow up the 'chain' from the ground. I am a personally a FBC hitter, and for me it is a feel of the negative move attempting to wind around the rear leg clockwise (I'm a RH hitter), but preventing/limiting that winding by a binding in the rear hip area, and it is this binding that leads to coiling forwards, as in Forward-By-Coil.
