Looking for ideas on set ups for indoor hitting areas. I have a large space in my living room I can use. Has windows,so we need to be careful of those. No basement.

Open to any ideas. I used an Easton folding net last year, which worked, until the fiberglass support poles broke from getting hit. Also had a hard time keeping it in place. We have hardwood floors in the living room.

Anyone have any experience with the Skillz Hurricane?

Sounds crazy, but I used a old mattress and lite flight type foam balls. the balls drop dead as soon as they hit the mattress.

Ive seen the skillz before but never used one.

Not a skil fan, in general. Seem cheaply made and do not seem to last long.

If a net worked before ... bownet seems to go on sale in a month or so. You should be able to tape it down or put a brike down to keep it in place.

(Where is perfect circle when we need him?)

Funny...I've been using the same Dick's hitting net for years, and it's gone through five years of whole teams of strong hitters banging balls into it, and everything is still solid. I guess it helps to not to hit the poles! ;)

Anyway, I set mine up in the garage, and use Jugs Lite-Flite balls. No problems with the net moving or anything getting damaged from a bad swing or ricochet.

The one I used before was like this, but Easton.

I wish we had a garage, but not in this house. Basement is there, but it’s short, maybe 6’? And really dirty/dusty. House is from the 1700’s.

I was considering a bownet, just wanted to see what else people have used.

I use a bownet in the garage. Use it for tee and side/angle toss (I try and set up so that I am as close to straight in front of the hitter as possible, probably 45 degrees or less) with softballs and for protection when throwing front toss with wiffles.

You could buy the Powernet brand. We have the powernet XLP 8' x 8' and the base folds, is heavy enough to not tip over. We use it in our small driveway and on the field with our team. You could tie the mouth of the net with rope so the ball doesn't go too far back when balls are hit into it.
