Anybody have any tips on how to correct the following. My DD when it comes to striding, basically just sticks her foot out. Almost as if reaching or jabbing the foot out quickly instead of moving her body as a whole unit. Sorry if my description is not that great.

Not sure if she has the body control to be able to do this, but if so this might be helpful:

Edit: FYI, I feel your pain. Still below of my DD makes my eyes bleed for a number of reasons (including the one you are posting about...)

DD is a no stride swinger, drops her heal. Maybe try this a little bit. She does not need to stick with it but get her going.

Maybe get a board at home depot that she swings off of. Use it for players bailing out but my thought is maybe having board wonder her feet might make her think about her feet more.

Your DD stretch right now is the Pink line:

Pattar's DD:

You want the stretch to be from, between the Red lines:

Thanks for the video tip, I'm not sure if she would be coordinated enough to do it, but could give it a try.

LOL! Thanks for feeling my pain. Not laughing at your DD, but you could super impose that picture on my daughter and it would be an exact match!

Glad my DD's lousy swing could be of some assistance LOL  To be honest I have no idea how she even hits the ball sometimes...

I've considered the no stride approach, every time I have her try it she complains she doesn't like the way it feels, but maybe its just getting adjusted to it is all.

I think the problem has to do with trying to time up her foot, instead of timing up the separation to hit. So she is rushing getting her foot to plant, instead of getting her body in time with the pitch. If that makes sense.
