In order to prevent from squishing the bug, we really worked on getting off the back foot. Now it has become a little too uncontrolled and aggressive. Anybody know any drills, cues or ideas on how to prevent the back foot from skipping too far forward. Basically it's skipping so far forward that it's causing her to stand taller at contact, :(.

There is good drag and bad drag. Since you said she is standing up at contact, I think she might be getting the weight over the front leg. So you have to much weight shifting. You replaced to much weight back, with to much weight forward. I think you need you focus on hitting against the front leg.

Most of those above video debunk that the swing or the bat shifts the weight.

Also, FFS why do believe her practice swing and game swing are so different? Squishing the bug is hard to get rid of?
