DD complains of her hands hurting when she hits a ball in a certain manner. Mostly when contact is with the 2-3 inches of the barrel end. It doesn't matter what the temp is. So, it's an old, hand me down Muzuno that her sister gave her. Is the bat worn out? Would batting gloves make a big difference? She's 11 and now she's getting afraid to swing hard although I'm nipping that in the bud. I appreciate the help.

Had the same problem with my DD at that age. She was swinging a 1 piece LS -13 Mendoza and as she got bigger stingers got worse. She then moved to an Easton FS3 -12, 2 piece which really helped a lot.
What is drop on her bat?
bat is a 31/19.5. MZ1700 alloy she just started using. I think Moses' DD used it first.
