Not here.
The bat on the shoulder is one way to learn how to use the hands during the swing - it encourages the hands to turn the barrel rather than having the barrel affected by what the arms are doing.
Notice bat on the shoulder. A good model to use:

Wow! Is that a great looking swing? I've watched 20 times. So good. My DD is going to watch this today. Lead foot goes from closed to open just before landing. I like the fact she doesn't get any taller. Maintains spine angle and stays in her posture.

What about her head though? Do you think this much movement (it goes from perpendicular to parallel with the floor) would impede her ability to see the ball?

I would like to see better video to see exactly when her head is moving. With that much rotational speed the head has to move(swivel) some to avoid injury. She may be peeking a bit, but that is a good swing. Some pro golfers have taken to the instruction of letting head turn like this to avoid injury.

As far as slowing down the swing so that she contacts the ball easier. My daughter has a habit of doing this too. She has all the power in the world but she also hates missing the ball. Basically we have talked about working the count right and being a contact hitter on with 2 strikes on her. Before every at bat I'm reminding her (10u also) first two strike swing with everything you got. It has worked out well so far this season and she doesn't get to two strikes often cause she is aggressive.

This is Brooke (dad is Crakermo) . She is currently at Iowa. This swing was early in HS, if I recall. Great example to use.
