It's interesting that the article mentions "hitters trying to stay through the middle more". She has been making an effort to stay on path longer. I wonder if that's what has caused it in her swing?

Hips sliding forward into footplant. The back hip doesn't stay coiled at footplant. The weight is shifting through the entire swing, stride to footplant.

I see a lot of casting in this swing as well. Lead arm is barring out fast

I'm having a heck of a time figuring out what cue will click with her, to get her to do that less. She's very athletic, very agile, and MOST of the game comes very natural to her (I know- that's what every parent says) but when she has a bat in her hand she looks like she's never held one in her life. She hates batting because she isn't good enough at it, by her standards. She rarely has an AB where she doesn't get the bat on the ball in some way, but they aren't nearly as productive as she would like. It's driving me nuts.

Yeah some seem to think she is turning the barrel, but she is actually shifting the weight and swinging at the same time. Long swing, casting/looping/barring.

One drill I would use is the now or half way home, aka no stride drill. Get loaded and in the launch position and swing from there, don't try to shift the weight or do any unnecessary movements before the swing. Take out all the slop (which there is allot of right now weight shift and arm action wise) and just swing.

Made this clip, it "isn't" an exact frame rate match, interestingly the swing was really close but the stride was different.

Don't take the clip as perfect match. Although I think this is an interesting clip for analysis.

As far as staying back, the girl doesn't and Correa stays back and hits off the backside. The girl hits off the front foot/leg. The girls head moves forward during the swing, Correa's head is pretty stable during the swing.

I read a book on biomechanics and in the middle of another one based on biomechanics. They talk about balance and the CG being equal distance between the feet. The balance by Correa is perfect, the girl is out of balance.

Correa has an attack posture, head over the front hip the girl has the head more over the back hip and then it moves a great deal. I like the attack posture on hitters.

The pitch height is similar in both swings, umm. You can then see the different barrel paths to the ball.
