DD has been using a Hittrax machine while practicing. One thing that was noticed is that her best EV coming off of tee is around 2-3 mph faster than her best EV coming from front toss (only a flip about 22 mph or so). I was wondering if anyone else tracks this type of data and if so is that about the norm? I know there are a ton of factors that come into play and in a perfect world the front toss EV would be higher. Does this data tell a story of any kind?

One of two things, a) I have no idea how this machine works but maybe the machine is a bit off due it somehow picking up the speed of the incoming ball and factoring that into the exit speed. If you throw faster (or slower) does the difference change? or b) your DD's swing is altered by having to time a moving ball.....
I am probably putting to much thought into it, comparing apples to oranges. I was surprised with the outcome though, to see that big of a difference between the two. From what I read at that speed of a pitch the outcome should result in a +4 mph increase in EV with all other things being equal.
