Varsity coach just informed today that she didn't like my hitting instructions to the modified girls. We were in agreement with separation and coiling, as well as hands and hips, but that "swoosh thing" wasn't going to cut it. Her reason is that the hitters will be facing faster pitching and knob to the ball puts the bat path in a straight line and therefore quicker to the ball. I suggested to her that this is really a timing issue but she would have none of it. So, pros and cons of know to the ball, please.

Agreed but she doesn’t sound like she will be receptive to the truth....
knob to ball.... maybe if you're 2,3,4,5,6 years old. 7, the real path to the ball starts.
