Not here.
Barrel path looks down to the ball and finished with a 'forced' over the shoulder. Also looks to be hitting around her body and not out from. Your DD should be hitting behind the ball as the barrel is starting to go upward. Not sure where tee set up was but, the way the front shoulder is 'flying' out of the way, you would think the tee was wayyy inside. JMHO.

Thanks, any illustrations you could me with here. I see the bat starting an upward path before the ball, so I don't understand how the path is down to the ball. I don't know, not disagreeing, just don't understand what you are saying.

She is not turning barrel to launch swing. Her body is turning ahead of hands. Some hitters elongate the front arm (Griffey, Will Clark as examples) as it happens as part of how you coil/stretch. I don't think this is though. This is the body racing ahead and the front arm lengthens.

Down to the ball(hands), level swing and 'forced' finish over the shoulder.
Add:Hitting around the ball.

Is it because the body is racing ahead .. or front shoulder is flying open too soon?

Julray,

what I would recommend is narrowing up her stance and letting her stride out and see what that fixes. She's starving for a a power source which is why her swing is all upper body and locking her lower half and hands out. I think you'll be surprised at how much better her swings looks just by this simple tweak. It will allow her to be an athlete

Ok, after video I believe it confirmed what I was thinking originally. Front side/shoulder opening too soon. Have her hit one handed with the front hand, off of a tee.. Stress hitting the ball back up the middle. If the shoulder opens like that during that drill, it is impossible to hit up the middle. Like I said before, it takes a little time to master this one, but it worked for my dd.
