Hitting front toss with deflated volleyballs

i like to have them learn to hit with wood bats- though i don't think any of them ever learned how.
something that was popular with them (that I got from DFP) was hitting 16" softballs. hard to drive them far. we would sometimes have games with them, home run derby or just do some bp with them.the kids who hadn't used em before would look at me like i had two heads but everyone wound up having fun and learning what felt like when they made good contact.

My DD loves to hit with wood. Our winter garage sessions with wiffleballs always includes a round with a wood bat. Speaking of which, it is 7 degrees here today so DD and I are going to look for a cheap space heater for the garage so we can hit tonight :cool:
