she's really got the forward-by-coil thing down.
nice to watch that little tuft of white poking from her back right pocket, rotate away from catcher/toward pitcher as she moves forward...

To me, she looks like a young player who has been instructed very well on all the individual aspects of the swing,
but is still searching for her own sequence? will be fun to watch this all come together and smooth-out over the coming years...

One thing that strikes me, is that she looks very hunched-over in her starting stance, and not athletically comfortable.
Like spine is "rounded" forward, as opposed to slightly "titled" forward.

I'm a novice analyst of hitting, so count this as a layman's opinion. ;-)

Yes!

Yet, she says she likes that position. Maybe it's a carry-over from being a catcher (just guessing). I've mentioned it to her, but she has been resistant to make an adjustment right now. Maybe if I have her head coach tell her, she will listen - lol.

Increase the separation and the LF will run into the fence before they have the chance to catch the ball. I see a kid who is in the process of trying to get comfortable her with swing mechanics AND her new physique following an obvious growth spurt. At this time, until she gets fully acclimated and comfortable, I’d be inclined to be patient and just tell her to focus on hitting the ball hard.

I'm looking at increasing hip-hand separation as a result of improving her overlap. As I mentioned before, concepts of getting the hands further rearward don't process well in her head, and her hand path to contact gets much longer (loop away from her rear shoulder). Staying "short to the ball" serves her much better.

Yes, she has had a growth spurt not all that long ago, and right now is increasing in muscle mass (and other mass).

This is an excellent point, and something all parents need to be aware of. Growth spurts will impact all activities. My DD needed to make some adjustments with hitting and pitching when she was approximately that age.

Lol..she's a catcher..not a problem ;) I went the other way during puberty..from a husky 12 year old to a beanpole 13 year old

Boys don't tend to grow the same lumpy parts that girls do - lol. Maddie has gone from a pretty lean - but not beanpole - kid to a muscular young lady with some soft edges. The increasing size, strength, and mass are benefiting her a lot in this sport.

A hit from last weekend (two views)...

A few things I don't love about this swing...
- Lack of "pull-backs" (pulling rearward with her back, keeping her head and torso over her rear hip). She was much better about this in some of her previously-posted swings, but is not consistent with that action right now.
- Knob-to-the-ball push/adjustment for outside pitch.
- Over-rotation of the shoulders at impact leading to the barrel pulling across the ball rather than driving through the ball.
