I've been watching a ton of videos on perfecting the swing and I see some girls have their elbows up, while other ones keep it angled down. Is there a correct way to hold the back elbow?

Also, DD has no problem following through with her swing while batting at practice. I noticed last night during her game that she would stop swinging as soon at the ball hit the bat. I'm not sure if she's trying to rush to start running or what. Do we just need to focus on soft tosses and tee work to have this fully ingrained?

Not here.

Style verses absolutes....elbow up or down. I prefer and my DD prefers her elbow up during the 'load' for various reasons(scap) ....but it's style not an absolute.

The Que I used with DD was 'finish your swing'. Whether off of tee, soft toss, or live pitching, I would reinforce 'finish your swing'.
