Thanks for the input Rdbass. I spent some time thinking about her hands last night trying to figure out why she drops them. We do a drill where she stops at contact to check herself. When she does this drill she will look correct. But when she swings the hands come down. I think the reason for this is how I explained to cut the ball in half. The only way she can cut the ball in half now is to drop the hands. I'm thinking if I tilt the ball on the tee it may correct the issue. I'll work on those things and post an update in the future. Thanks again for taking the time to help.

Not here.

OK, you can try that. Then, try teaching your DD to 'tilt' her body and add a little flex in her rear knee/leg.
The barrel path needs to look like this:

When you say "cut the ball in half", is she envisioning a cut that is parallel with the ground? If she is, this could be a big contributor to the hands dropping to the level of the ball.

Yes exactly what she is thinking. The idea was to get her to swing through the ball and to keep her head down. I tell her to slice in half like fruit ninja. I'm thinking by tilting the ball her body will adjust to the new target.

Okay. Now, angle the slice. Start the hands at the rear shoulder, and keep them above the ball.

I'm guessing you (or another coach) told her to hit between the "tracks", b/c it looks like she makes a point of putting the ball on the tee the same way every time. I mention this only to point out that she's clearly very coachable.

I don't think she's too far from achieving fbc, her shoulders are coiling back, she just needs to have her hips join in.

I've read - and mostly agree with - that girls tend to be much more literal in their interpretation of a coaches instructions. Consider just showing her pics/video of hitters coiling, and of ferris wheel vs carousel swings, and she what adjustments she comes up with on her own.

Yes I had told her to put the ball on the tee the same way everytime. She is very coachable. We haven't hit since I posted the video. We will be hitting today when she gets home. We did talk about it and take some air swings. I'm hopeful this simple change will correct the issue. Getting her to tilt more I'm still struggling to figure out.
