Not here.
The point that you just made is exactly why they can FEEL it! I do agree.

When you coil around the rear leg while pigeon toed it feels awfully funny and a huge pull right? I want them to feel that! Find the coil..Feel it!

I agree with the feel part. It helps in the beginning. I started their with my DD but, was thinking down the rode as a hitter gets older they wont/shouldn't need the 'cheat'.

Exactly. Which is why I said Kids! I would take it to the batters box!

Open stance can obviously be fine. Many succeed with it but if is used as a gimmick not supported by the rest of the mechanics then it is neither good or bad.

I am not liking this swing from the front very much. It is just one swing but if I am calling pitches I am going curve drop or change outside and I think she will be trouble. Maybe I am wrong.

lhowser....appreciate the feedback! Curious as to why you would call those pitches?..she actually did well on away pitches this fall

I will also say this (since the video doesn't show it)...DD does tend to crowd the plate in games to get to outside pitches. Because of how she steps out of her open stance she has no issues with inside pitches. So, she crowds it.

Well a couple of reasons.

1. I'll take that inch and a half to two inches of bat length she gives up choking up.

2. To me her lower half is always open and her bat path follows outside in. If I can get a ball to tumble out and down or if A change can ruin her timing after she has already committed the lower half she is tipping those pitches off the last two inches of the barrel. At least that is what I see.

She would need to really swing out and away like the unique style of Louisiana at Lafayette hitters to catch those pitches. You'll enjoy watching them and listening to the announcer in this video. Open stances...very effective
