Well, I broke down and bought one. It's in the mail. Super excited to see all these kids swings broken down.
Does any one else have one or any experience that they can share?

We received ours in the mail and immediately saw something in DDs swing that she could no longer deny. Pay close attention to configuring the angle of the bat as it does make a difference.

I've had one for a while but haven't messed with it that much. On the playback, if you have the bat angle configured right, should it line up with the 3d model's? DDs never matches.

From an earlier thread:
I have the Zepp monitor and I like it a lot. DD had difficulty getting excited about tee work into a net but since we started using that, she can see her swing and work on batspeed. The first sensor I got wound up showing some readings that were incorrect so at their recommendation, I sent it back and they replaced it with a new one. Due to DDs midterms, basketball practice and plummeting temperatures, we haven't been able to go outside and try the new one yet.

I like it and it brings a whole new dimension to tee work. Gives DD some goals to shoot for and immediate swing feedback. easy to use - I wish it wasn't so damn cold out, we still haven't tried out the replacement sensor!

Had one for a couple of months.... Great for picking up things you'd miss otherwise.
Team gets a kick out of it too. Planning on using it to show parents start of season vs end of season.
Wish they had better female hitters for comparison. I've recommended Bustos and Boccia.

The only bad thing about it: I can no longer deny my bat speed. (Or lack thereof)

Would be great to have done benchmark bat speeds and exits for 10u on up FP

I decided to order one today. I'm excited to give it a try. My daughters last hitting coach loved it and I got to see some of her numbers from when he used it.

Well it showed up last night. I had two students and my 10u dd try it out first. After some tweaking of batters position and some online tech support (their tech support was very helpful BTW...) I finally figured out how to use it properly and what all the data meant. Its awesome. After working with a kid for over a year, trying to get her to understand how important the resistance in the legs, core, and butt are (crackin the nut) and how when these things are applied, the forces generated etc.... Once the ZEPP was on and she could actually see the bat speed and time in the zone etc. it was like magic. Her face lit up when she saw the raw data, and how to focus on the legs more etc... Initially, she was averaging 45 mph bat speed. We stopped, refocused and made her really stick that front side and push the front hip deep into the socket. Bat speed jumped to 66 mph! not to shabby for a 10 year old! She now is motivated like never before to stick it harder and continue to improve her bat speed. Amazing tool.

CJ, 66mph for a 10yo is truly impressive.

When I read your description I have the image of the creation of a front hip pivot point. My comment there is that an effective swing in the batter's box needs a rear hip pivot point as well. Sure ... I can perform tee work with an over emphasis on a front-hip pivot point and sail them over the fence again and again ... the added leverage makes it much easier ... but that swing won't be effective in the batter's box.

Again ... 66mph for a 10yo is quite impressive.
