CJ, 66mph for a 10yo is truly impressive.

When I read your description I have the image of the creation of a front hip pivot point. My comment there is that an effective swing in the batter's box needs a rear hip pivot point as well.
I agree 200%, however with this particular kid, she has a habit of getting tall through contact. I mean this by literally standing straight up over her front leg and spinning around it. No resistance at all when she's not paying attention to what she's doing. The adjustment I gave her allowed her to see a massive improvement immediately in her bat speed, and this was her motivation throughout the lesson.

Who has the best deal on a Zepp?
They're $150 everywhere...
However at my local Dicks, they had to order it, and shipped it to my house. For the hassle of not stocking it and having to order it, they gave me a 10% refund after I brought the packing slip and receipt back into the store.
I saw one on ebay last week for $114.00 but not sure why so cheap...

True, Ebay will often offer more attractive prices.

Just took a quick look ... Sports Authority is selling the Zepp through Ebay for $127.49 (includes shipping).

I got mine for Christmas, and after some use I can say this is a must have. It will allow you to track an entire team, and the girls seem to respond to the 3d visual better then slow motion video.
Proper setup is key, but once that is done its very easy to use, as long as you understand what the data is telling you. Having a benchmark and goal on bat speed and hand speed really seems to be a big motivator for the girls.

They have the price down to less than half the price of a bat.

It's amazing how many old wise tales the device can help dispel.

The ability to collect quick, measurable feedback allows a hitter to better correlate their swing thoughts with actual (non-subjective) results. Should help reduce the learning curve for many.

I don't think it is good to use an analyzer or video to win an 'argument' with one's child over his or her form or skills. It is better for your relationship and learning process to provide information -- on a regular basis -- and let the player make that assessment for him or herself.

If a picture is worth 1000 words, then what's a video worth?

What I have found is that this provides a link so the player can see what they are doing, much like a video, but with quantitative results. seeing the results gives the player solid feedback, not a verbal description by an adult that they may or may not understand. At the end of the day it is still just a tool and a tool needs to be used correctly to get the best results.

We received ours in the mail and immediately saw something in DDs swing that she could no longer deny. Pay close attention to configuring the angle of the bat as it does make a difference.

A hitting flaw is not like some unhealthy activity that needs such an intervention.
It not about winning arguments. It's about giving them the help they need to become the best they can be. (Which is what a good coach does or at least is their goal BTW)
From my limited experience with it over the last week. I've been able to show them the differences in bat speed and attacking angles based on mechanical adjustments within their swings. This visual helps them to really see how much better they'll be able to perform if they focus on the adjustments.
