Remember also that the stated weight may not be the actual weight.

My DD is about 5' , 90# swings a 31/21 that actually weighs 22.5 oz. She is using it all fall/winter for training and then I may try to find a true 31/21 for a gamer.

I wanted to update my thread. As our season got under way this year my daughter was swinging her 29/18 CF5 great. Shortly before our first game a friend of a friend (who has been a serious softball parent/coach for several years now) gathered up a bunch of extra equiptment for our team to have to use. In that equiptment was 3 older bats with the largest being a 32/21 TPS Catalyst. At first I thought it would be way to heavy for my daughter as well as all the other girls on the team. However at one of my at home batting sessions with my daughter I had her swing it while using the Jugs lite flites. To my surprise she was crushing the balls. I then switched over to coach pitch and she continue to crush the balls. It has left me wondering if I was under estimating what she was capable of. I still have her swing her CF5 in the games. It does allow her to generate a lot of bat speed and she still rockets them to the outfield. However my DW shot me the look when I said we may need to get a new 31/21 CF5....might just have to try again later in the season. :)

DD started out with a 30" drop 11 in 10U, but now she's 14 years old, 5'7" and ~125-130 lbs. She swings a 33/24 really well right now. She had a Xeno (broke with a rattle...waiting for replacement) so now she's got a new 2013 Worth 454 33/24 (maroon bat with white handle). Nice bat so far...will use in tournament play first time this weekend. :)

Also, she swung a drop 10 for 2 years, really didn't need longer bat and was swinging this like it was nothing...which is why we went to drop 9.

DD is 14, 5'7" and 98# soaking wet. She has a realtively cheap DiMarini 31/20 but I just broke down and got a her a C5 32/22 that should be here tomorrow.

My daughter is 12yo 5'3" 108# swings a 31" 21oz 454. Also swings a 32" 22oz very well so now looking for another new 454 for her to practice with and use as game bat when she's ready for it. Just waiting cor a good deal. As others have said I would suggest staying with a -10. Take care.
