DD's (10U) CF8 30/19 cracked this weekend and boy was that an emotional roller coaster, so now we are looking for a replacement.

She finished the tournament with her Xeno, but wants something that swings and feels close the the CF8. What new bats have that same balanced swing and pop that she can try?

My knowledge comes mostly from this forum. Based on the way you worded your question, it sounds like another CF is what you're looking for. Seems general opinion is avoid the CF7 and CFX. The 8 is a favorite, but overall most like the 9 and the zen (easiest to get) as well. Prism may or may not be a consideration, jury still out and drop 11 comes out in June. Not sure anything swings as balanced as the drop 11 CFs. LXT has a drop 11 and may be the next most balanced. If go up to a drop 10, the CFs and again LXT are the obvious option. Wild card might be Rawlings Quatro Pro, not sure what shortest size of that one is and Core may be able to help you if you don't go Demarini or LS. From what I read power carbon and ghost will be recommended but will swing heavier.

Mine is 12 and has always hated all bats but Demarinis. She had a CF4, then a CF6, a couple of CF8s (one after she decided the CFX sucked). This year she had to go up in weight, and we got her the CF Zen. It's her favorite bat she's ever had. She likes even better than the CF8, which was by far her favorite to this point.

Just replaced my dd's cf8 with a 30/19 PC. It is a great bat and she really likes it but it definitely swings heavier. I would absolutely recommend giving it a try. My dd is on the small side and 30/19 was a bit too big for her but she is learning to slap so she can control it pretty well by choking up. Mishits don't ring her hands much and she is super sensitive to it.

If she is >= 90# than I would try a Ghost or Power Carbon. It might not be the popular opinion but Demarini drop 11 is probably the best bat for small girls.

Did she have a problem with the Xeno since she was a CF fan? The Xeno prob weighed 1-1.5oz more than the CF.

Asking this for a reason...if she swung a 30/19 Xeno well, just didn't like it...then she could handle a 30/20 in another CF or PC.

If she didn't get the Xeno around well, then best to stick with a 30/19 for now in a CF or PC

A Ghost is going to swing heavier as well.

We have a 33/23 Power Carbon on our HS team, haven't weighed it but it feels considerably lighter than Anna's 33/23 LXT, I mean really noticeable! It's your DD and you know her best......but I'd try to get her into a -10 bat as soon as possible! If a 30/20 is weighted like that 33/23, it'll feel and swing light.

We bought the Xeno (31/-11), last Spring, her first season of TB (low B) and she loved it and hit well. As we started playing tougher competition (high B) she was hitting but was a little late on contact (partly due to technique). Mid season, she used a teammates CF9 and hit a bomb and was convinced it was the bat. We found a used CF8 (30/-11) and she started using it in tournaments. She will go back to the Xeno when the pitching is slower, but always came back to the CF8.
FYI, her Xeno weighs 22.25 oz and the CF8 weighs 19.35 oz
