The 2017 LXT seems heavy....the bat weight database seems to vet that out. I was hoping that 2019 may have addressed some of those issues, but we don't have much data in the bat weight database for 18 or 19.

I believe the LXT was updated for either 2017 or 2018 to include only one disc. It previously had two like the Xeno. There's an interview of a Louisville Slugger employee explaining this somewhere on the internet but I can't find the link. This made it more balanced, lighter, and supposedly increased the sweet spot; I have no way to verify this other than saying my daughter's new 2019 LXT seems to have plenty of rebound along the barrel unlike many other bats that have less rebound 2 to 3 inches from the end cap. Her 2019 LXT 33 -9 weighs 23.9 oz so it runs very close to advertised weight. DD's 2016 LXT in 33 -10 ran a little heavy and had a more end-weighted balance point.

Doesn't every year every bat says bigger sweet spot? :)

I have a 5'7 about 130 pound daughter who uses a 2016 LXT plus 32/22. She is still doing ok with this bat but I worry its going to be to short by the end of the summer at the rate she is growing. What would be the best replacement bat? The newer Xeno or LXT.

Get her the new LXT that Core sells- the new markings are different. It’s black and says Mizuno Power Carbon in purple letters on it.

Get whatever size is two times the width of her shoulders. Maybe +1 inch if she is a kid who hits a lot and is a particularly strong hitter. Length is easy to over do, a 32 or 33 sounds close to right just by what you posted.

Lol, I actually have been looking at the power carbon as well. Can you send me a PM about price and if a 32/22 or 33/23 would be better. Thanks !
