DD noticed it tonight after tee work and before live arm. I still have a return so will be doing that. She likes it so I just hope the replacement lasts a bit longer than 6 months, or at least
until she moves to a drop 10. Hard to see how my 70 lb kid can be hitting it hard enough to do any damage but apparently she was. First composite she's "broken" so I just wanted to vent

Delamination isn't breaking...its more to do with paint

Well, it still isn't usable in a game, right? That is my definition of breaking :)

In all seriousness, it is a failure of the material, regardless of the reason. To be honest
I am surprised it doesn't happen more often as even a small little manufacturing defects
can cause them. I've made some composite structures for some aerospace research I have done
and it is surprisingly easy to make a crappy sample

FYI, she likes the bat and we appreciate the good deal you gave us on it. I will be hitting you
up again when she is ready for a drop 10

Can you take a picture of it? Just curious to see what this looks like. My DD has a marucci pure bat we got on black Friday last year and it has held up well with near constant use this year.

That's not defamation sir...not even close...that's broke...haha

Defamation is when the bat gets spots on it...like paint will get lighter in a spot than the rest of the bat. Easton
even made a bat many years ago that was supposed to get paint defamation spots if it was too hot.

a bat with paint defamation is usable in a game...that is not :)

And you actually answered your own question...you cant see how your dd is only 70 pounds and did this to the bat...but then you said
"To be honest I am surprised it doesn't happen more often as even a small little manufacturing defects". You should see how many other bats
break from all the other manufacturers. This is actually the first FX I have seen like that.

It happens, bats roll off a line...some wont be perfect. I tell that to people all the time. As long as the manufacturer stands by it, its gtg. If you are going
to be a bat buyer, get used to breaks :)

I said delamination, as in two plies, originally bonded, separate from each other. Looks to me like that is what happened, but like I said initially it is broke anyway you say
