Don’t quote me on this but I’m thinking I remember reading that the thread used on ball glove stitching and embroidery had a “waxy” coating on it, so maybe it’ll clean easier than you think? That why it’s so hard to dye the stitching, it won’t stick.

I’ll try that- I tried just air yesterday but didn’t get very close.

I’m just kind of afraid I will set the stain if I’m not careful. Honestly it’s not a big deal but anything worth doing is worth doing right if I can!

Learned our lesson the hard way regarding the beeswax.

Had a Nokona that looked great on the outside
, but years of sweat soaked in and rotted the interior. Unrecoverable.

Bright side is there were new gloves to buy. So, glove shopping isn't a bad way to spend some weekends with the DD. Oh, bought beeswax to go along with them too.

2B Wax No 1 leather conditioner is the best I've found. I use it whike breaking gloves in and then a few times a year to keep the gloves in shape.
If I need to clean a glove I use the 2B Wax No 2 Castille Soap or if I need to I'll use the Lexol deep leather cleaner. Most the time though gloves can be cleaned with a warm damp wash cloth after using the jet nozzle on the compressor to blow most of the dirt out. However, my girls team seems to use a lot of A2000s and Wilson used a lot of white on those gloves. After showcases or tourneys in Nevada and Arizona on those dark red clay in-fields the white gloves take a beating.
When re-lacing gloves I will usually use Mizuno Strong Oil or Nokona Glove Conditioner on the laces before putting them in the gloves, some of the laces are stiffer, especially in certain colors if I can't get them from Tanners.
I also get 5" wide elastic bands and cut them in to 14.5" strips that I sew in to loops. Then when the glove is in a bag a game ball or over sized ball goes in and the strap wraps around it while it's in their bags. If the glove gets damp you lay it on a shelf standing up on its pinky finger and thumb til it dries

I'd recommend the 2B Wax No 1 conditioner if you're just maintaining your glove or breaking in a new one. Keeps the leather conditioned and weatherproof
