No experience, but one little things has always bugged the hell outta me about them. You're always hitting on the same exact spot, always. Seems you'd wear it out quickly.

If I recall correctly, they claim that as a positive. Because they can design the bat differently to only account for being hit on the one side.

Yeah the composite is thicker on the side that's always being hit. There's guys on the slow pitch side that love them, and others that hate them. As always, it comes down to personal preference

I've never used one myself, but I was talking with a JUCO baseball coach a few weeks ago, whose team lead the nation in HR, and they just signed a contract to use them this spring. He loves them.

Baseball way diff than softball...heck, in baseball, one piece metals are still the best selling and perform well.

As for sp/fp bats...not many like them at all and they just cant get the performance out of them that others get. I have always said,
their main selling point stops it from being as hot as other brands. They make the one side stronger to take the abuse, but you
have made it less reactive.

I have used their sp bat and hit it against the other brands...its just not there. Axe wanted us to sell their bats and gave us demos.
My opinion along with the other guys...its ok to hit some singles, but just lacks pop/distance that the other bats have. I wouldnt use it.
Now for fp, you could get a few more takers as the pitchers do throw harder and will provide some of the help.

I mean, it still comes down to what floats your boat. If you try one and like it, why not?

Thanks everyone. I think I am going to let DD try one out

If they have a 30 day trial period then it might be worth it. I say that because my buddy bought one for his dd when our girls were 7. His and mine both held it, took a couple swings and just said nope. They both said it felt too "weird". Fast forward to today, 2 years later, he got it out a while back and they both still had the same reaction.

30 day trial will be enough. I got my dd their top bat last year and from the 1st swing she loved it. It took a couple hundred hits to break it in but it’s her favorite bat for all the reasons they advertise. Now several of her teammates have tried it and don’t use it. They don’t like the way it feels. It is not some magic bat but I feel it is high quality and it’s easier to get out of rolling wrist type of swing. She wants her next bat to be a Demarini prism so she is not really stuck on Handel but does love the grip. So if you try 1 she will definitely know within 30 days weather she likes it or not. Judge on grip not distance at first. Because dd is getting an extra 25 ft after about 3 months. Which is the same as her previous demarini balanced.
