Dang... Are Demarini CF8 30/19 really selling for $400?

Wow. I lost count of how many girls I knew with that bat who cracked it in 10U, when they were new. No way I'd pay $400 for something as fragile as they seemed to be. We paid $250 new and when it cracked a couple of months into fall, we had them send us a 30/20 for the replacement.

I wouldn't doubt that someone would pay that, unfortunately (for everyone but the people who still have them). My DD swung her 29/18 so well that if someone here were selling a 30/19 I'd be hard pressed not to buy it but there's just no way I could swing $400 for a bat PERIOD, let alone a used one. $200? I'd complain but I'd probably still buy it.

No used/old bat is worth 4 bills...especially considering its used and technically NO WARRANTY unless you have a receipt which is prob bogus. 5 swings in and it busts...hows that
gonna feel? :)

Many ebay people prey on the gullable or less informed.

Slowpitch is full of idiots as well...I just laugh

Those drop 11 CF8s were hot no question. If memory serves they were hottest right before they broke. So, not a question IF they broke but just when.

The crazy priced ones in eBay are floated out there continuously. There's some deep pocketed parents that will drop 400 without blinking an eye since they think it might give Suzy an edge. No bigger sucker than a parent with an ego.

Mom and dad think it's the bat. It's the kid

I think sometimes the bigger problem can be when the KID thinks it's the bat. It can be really hard to get them to have confidence in anything else, once they take a liking to a particular bat. My DD is a prime example. She had an old dirty, ratty -11 CF8 that was a hand-me-down forever and she's really struggling to adjust to anything else (but I'm not spending new bat money on bat that I don't know the history on and no warranty, so it's out of the question).

My daughter is that way. Had an old 29/18 cf6. Broke in March, and she hasn't swung anything that makes her happy like that cf6. She has the Zen now, but even with other kids swinging it, I'm not impressed. Still looking for a reasonably priced replacement cf6, but they usually go quickly
