Not to break up the lace debate or the MLB debate but I can tell you your DD will love this mitt. I bought DD her CMW3000 (as well as putting several other of my catchers into it) second year !6U and it has lasted through that full year, first year 18u TB (didn't play 2nd year), first year of college ball and still going strong through second year of college ball. Of course, she takes extremely good care of it also. That said, if she ever needed a new one, I'm sure that one would be in her very near future. That mitt is SHARP!

that is sharp, got DD (2007) a CMW3000 just about a year ago, she loves it, she probably prefers the blank and tan/cream though, her favorite color.

I have conditioned the outside several times with a Wilson spray (I like sprays because it lets me get coverage without saturation). had not heard of doing anything to inside, and I am hesitant to do so in case it makes it slippery. Is this common? one more fall tourney, was planning on cleaning (any tips for cleaning?) and conditioning again after (along with her wilson A950 fielders glove). what special attention needs to be paid to inside

Nothing special bmakj, just what's already been talked about here. Obenauf's beeswax creates a barrier that seals out sweat and moisture, that's it! A thin coat inside, let it dry and it won't be slick or feel greasy. It's a simple and quick procedure that will add life to any glove!

As far as cleaning, depending on how dirty the glove is........light grime, just wipe it down real good with a warm / wet wash cloth, let it dry, and condition it with Surf City, Lexol, or whatever you like although I NEVER recommend a spray because they DO saturate!

If it's really dirty I recommend cleaning it with Lexol leather cleaner in the orange bottle, just follow the directions, let it dry for several days and condition.

A container of Obenauf's beeswax is just a great product to have around the house, especially for you guys who have nasty Winters, the stuff is great for boots, which I think it was originally made for?

Thanks, that’s great to hear! It’s definitely a step up from the Mizuno GXS58. DD’s 14u 05 and these young ladies are sure getting stronger.
