Hey AD, so what do you know about the Mizuno Pro Limited? European Kip compared to Pro which is American Kip?

And yes, I know the pricetag of the Pro Limited...haha.

Hey Todd, I'm walking out the door right now to close on a house, when I get back to work I'll answer your question. One thing I'm not 100% sure about the Northern European Kip is whether or not now it's considered Deguchi leather which some consider the absolute king of the hill! But if it's not Deguchi now, I'll guarantee you it's still some BA leather! Asian gloves are awesome, but true made in Japan Asian gloves are on another level. I'll be back.

Sorry, I'm referring to the Pro Limited.

Ok, will be waiting...haha.

I do know you get a one time complete overhaul of your glove...they send gloves back twice a year to Japan and it gets completely releathered and repaired for free

Alright Core, I've only ever owned one Mizuno Glove in my life, so take everything I say with a grain of salt, in fact I may not be your guy on this subject? I will say everything I've read about the newer crop of upper Mizuno's is they're really fantastic gloves!

***The Pro-Select that I was talking to WARRIORMIKE the other night is comparable to a HOH and a A2000.

***The Mizuzo Pro is comparable to a Pro Preferred and a A2K. This is the model that DiDi Gregorius games!

***And the $600 MSRP Mizuno Pro Limited is on the top shelf, especially the Deguchi leather models, and the NE Kip probably is there also, I just don't know that much about them!

Core, I don't see how you could go wrong with a Pro or a Pro Limited, both are great choices. For my money I'd probably order the Pro, but I doubt you get the free rebuild with that model, but I'm not sure? With the Pro limited, you do get the free rebuild, plus you get that warm fuzzy feeling of owning one of the best Japanese made gloves money can buy! And what people don't understand about the Pro Limited, it's not what you see on the outside, which of course is on another level, it's the top notch materials on the inside that set these gloves apart, plus being hand made start to finish by one craftsman! I've never owned one but I have got to handle several and putting your hand inside one is a pretty dang nice feeling!

I know you were thinking about a huge Rawlings custom (13.5" / 14"), what model Mizuno are you looking at?

I do believe the Asians build probably the best and most consistent ball gloves in the world......Taiwan, the Philippines (where all the high-end Rawlings customs, exclusives, RGGC special orders are made), and of course Japan where the Pro Limited is made, I'm honestly not sure where the Pro is made, I know Mizuno does have "some" high-end gloves made in China.

Man you're delving into the dark world of the truly hard to get, very expensive, and rare Asian market of gloves, there's so many killer brands of Asian gloves that you have to know a guy who knows a guy to get a real hardball glove, and yes that's what they call a true baseball glove.....a hardball glove. They also have what they call rubberball gloves which are of a lower quality. Think of this way, Ichiro would have used a high-end hardball Mizuno!

Some Asian brands off the top of my head, and I'd be proud to own any of these!

SSK. (I'm sure you've heard of them, varying degrees of awesomeness)
Hatakeyama.
Woodz.
Zett. (again, I'm sure you've heard of them)
Asics.
Under Armour.
Xanax.
IP Select.
Descente.
Kubota Slugger.
Mizuno of course (Duh)
Atoms.
Junkei.

Sorry, I'm rambling now:rolleyes:. Todd, I have no idea if I answered your question or not? I probably complicated it more!

Well you did answer it which is why I did hit you up as you are the go to glove guy here...haha

There is a reason I was asking about the Mizuno lines, so I could learn a little more about their gloves. I was able to feel every Miz
glove but the big boy (Pro Limited) as the reps aren't even allowed a demo of them... haha. Trying to learn for future reference :)

And no...only free build is with the Pro Limited, BUT the other have a 1 year warranty

About a year ago, maybe less? Homerunmonkey.com had a few Pro Limited models they were blowing out for $269.00 / $289.00? Can't remember the exact price but wayyyyy below MSRP, I started to buy one for the heck of it, just never got around to it.

Todd, you really should consider looking at a Glovesmith USA custom, they offer it in a 13.5” and Glovesmith gloves are true to size, huge glove! Give Bart a call and discuss some options you may want for pitching, he’ll build anything you want. Their Duratan leather on the USA gloves is no joke! Heavy duty JTan leather, great for protection at the pitchers position.

$309.00 for a true custom beats $600.00, and I’m pretty sure on the customs they use the same leather for the palm and finger liners as they do the shell. They’re built like tanks! I remember you liking some funky colors on the Rawlings builder, their Wheat (tan) Duratan leather looks like old school Rawlings Horween

Hard to find a lot of Glovesmith USA Custom pics, here’s a few in Wheat Duratan.
Geez, never mind, too much work to change all the file sizes on my iPad, I’ll post them tomorrow from work, sorry
