Look at the Marucci site. I think their customs are the best on the market for the price. You get several options of web styles and colors.

Now that Eric, the Glove Cowboy has went to work for Marucci, their options are getting ready to get much better!! I know this doesn’t help your situation with your team requiring Wilson, but if I was going to spend custom dollars on a glove, I’d build a custom Heart of the Hide, Rawlings just has their customizer dialed it, tons of great choices. It won’t be long I bet when all the manufacturers will offer custom builders on their sites, to an extent, just look at Vinci.

Good luck on your search, keep us posted. Here’s an idea, order you a custom Rawlings, have some bootleg Wilson patches/logos made and have a talented sewer put them on! Wasn’t it Omar Vizquel who did that in the majors?

Handled the LXT along with a few other brands today. Leather was nice - they had both the brown '18 and gray '19 models, with the latter gray/gold binding colorway looking really good in person. The 33" size felt very similar to the 33.5" All Star, although DD said the LXT padding wasn't as robust. Then again, the padding of the A2000 and Liberty Advanced didn't seem to be, either. Those two, being 34", just felt huge.

#10, I just spent a few minutes playing on Wilson’s customizer building an A2000 mitt, looks like a closed web is all they offer?! I personally don’t have an issue with a closed web, but for a $359 custom, you’d think they would offer at least a couple different options (closed & H-web)!!

Loved your “DD veto” comment

Lol, I checked out their glove builder the other night! Made a nice blonde/black lace mitt. DD likes the contrast of the light mitt in front of her red and/or navy chest protector. I agree that it's insane only one web is offered for a custom mitt. DD prefers an H web for the added visibility in tracking the pitch and having the dirt fall through on digs and blocks. I guess fastpitch is still an afterthought for Wilson.

If I ever decided to go that route, I'd get patches for another CMW3000. Why fix what isn't broken?

Agreed, even though I love my CMW3000, you know I love high end Rawlings and I’ve never owned or tried a custom HOH catchers mitt! With Anna being a senior this year I’ll probably never own one either, just one more year of pitching lessons for me and her together...........guess I’ll go cry myself to sleep now:(

That timberglaze I-web you ordered is absolutely sick! Love me some Rawlings, too.

Hopefully I’ll have another over the top Rawlings next week, hopefully? Then I’m done, I’ll have about everything I want. I think I’m going to sell a few off here in the near future!
