Any experience with the Eaton Synge or Combat Morphed? DD just moved up to 10u and is using a 28/17 cf8. I would like to move up to a 29" bat by the time spring tourneys start but because she is so small she can't handle a heavier bat. I came across a Synge on ebay and started researching, mostly finding really good reviews. Same with the Morphed. It seems like the single piece bats are usually truer to weight than the two piece bats so that's my reason for looking at them. She used a Combat Maxuum before switching to a two piece and really liked it.

I honestly haven't seen either of these bats since 2014 and I am not sure either are acceptably stamped anymore. If you are looking for reasonably priced bat I'd probably just go find another Demarini CF8 if she likes it.

They are both usssa stamped. Moving up to a 29" cf8 will likely be too heavy. I know it's not much difference just adding an inch but at her size/strength, it will matter. She recently tried a friends 29" cf9 and it didn't work. Just throwing ideas out there, might not even worry about it until the cf8 breaks or loses it's pop.

At this age and weight this is probably the better idea. If there is nothing wrong with the current bat - and the cf8 is a good bat - why replace it? Neither of the above bats are going to provide any additional performance.

It is a good bat. As usual I am overthinking it and was thinking if she could work up to a longer bat by spring it may help with plate coverage.

My DD used a Synge in 8U. It was fine for what she needed at the time. It was never Easton's top-shelf bat. That said, if it fits her for size and weight, it's not a terrible choice for a young player. One thing I do know is that she will grow, and you'll probably be bat shopping again very soon. ;) :)

Neither of these bats will hold a candle to a Cf anything. I would not replace a cf with either of these as both would be considered lower end than the cf series. Also consider actual bat weights and opposed to listed weights...traditionally the CF series are the lightest feeling most balanced bats so if moving up in size with the cf doesn't feel right nothing will

She gets taller but never gains weight! She's been hovering between 48-50 lbs for dang near 2 years and she eats more than her 13 year old brother.

I have always been a combat fan...bats take some time but built like tanks and they do perform, if you beat them up a little. Not saying you need to even buy anything because
it really doesn't sound like she needs a bat, just wanted to compliment the defunct Combat brand :). No other bat will give you the performance/price/durability combo that they did.

They never got the love because of poor advertising and they never built bats to be pretty or to go with the trend. But the folks that made Combat bats, made bats for a lot
of other manufacturers. So they knew how to make bats. Most of the people that insult Combats, never even had one or hate one piece bats.

DD used a Maxuum for about a year before it broke and loved it. Two other girls on her team used it for rec and travel so it got a ton of hits on it. Once that little bat broke in it was amazing how hard and far dd was hitting with it, just as far as she is now with her cf8. One girl always called it the magic bat because she was very small also and really hit well with it. I think there is something to be said for bat speed with younger, smaller girls.
