What's old is new again......
Thought I'd make a meaningless and pointless post (with pics) since this place has been pretty glove dead for a while now!
Probably 2+ years ago we were playing in a showcase in Georgia, it was hotter than hot! We were to play two back to back games, with about 3 minutes left in the first game Anna got a screaming line drive hit to her at SS for the 3rd out, she's running to the dugout cause she knows she's up to hit. For some reason she looks at her glove and notices a finger lace had just broken......I had 20 minutes to repair it between games! I wound up getting an extra 10 minutes because one of the umps got very sick because of the heat! We saw several people being carted off of fields because of the heat that weekend!
For some reason I had one piece of 1/4" tan Tanners lace in my trunk, I re-laced the web spiral and fingers with a Spyderco knife, a small pocket screwdriver, and a paperclip, I now keep a repair kit in my trunk at all times! I always thought that one piece of tan lace always looked great with the rest of the glove laced in black, I'm weird I guess!
We have a replacement tan and black custom Vinci just sitting, not being used, I pulled the black shoestring lace out of the spiral and fingers and replaced it with a piece of tan Tanners, instantly transformed the look of this glove! I'm sure I'll finish it in tan soon....maybe not? Have a great weekend everyone
