I know this is a very old thread.
Long time since I've been here. Way back when, I picked up a 34" Freak Black from somebody on this forum. DD didn't move to 34" until last night. Straight out of the wrapper with only about a dozen swings on it, and hit shots. What a great bat. It may just be circumstance. It might not. But, that Freak Black did it last night.

Wish Miken would have kept going in fastpitch
Sure they're legal. Nothing weird about them. I say that because Miken makes
some kick azz slowpitch bats but gave up fastpitch to Worth which then gave
it to Rawlings. Would have loved to have seen Miken grow that bat more like
they did slowpitch.

I'd say there's nothing magic about them. DD normally swings a 33" USA Ghost, or an old 33" CF5, both drop 10. This 34" was gathering dust. She was slumping, and decided to just give it a whirl. It's a great bat. I wouldn't say it's better or worse than other mainstream offerings. Whatever makes her feel good is what she should hit with.
Yeah, I was trying to put a hold on the omg, gotta go find one now like its a hidden magic stick...haha
