So its that time DD is moving up to 10U. Shes a pitcher and a year round player and has always played in the Mizuno Jenny Finch 11.5" but I am tired of buying a new one every 6 months. I do love the fact that I can run to Dicks pick one up and literally hand it to her between innings and its ready to go. But as we are finishing up 8U allstars and moving into winterball I figure now is as good of time as any to get her something new. I know the common recommendation is a Vinci or a Akadema but I would not know where to begin as far as picking one. I know she prefers a smaller glove and I dont want something that takes a lot of effort to break in so I digress to you guys who have older DD's and have been in my shoes before. Thanks for the help. Video is a shameless parent brag.. lol

Mizuno GMVP1175F2 or GMVP1200F2 or similar.

A better leather than the pigskin mizunos you have been using, and similar fit (works for a small hand). Just a little bit of break in. Should get her through 12u, and then could probably upgrade her to an even better quality one when she would be older top go through a tougher break in.

Not a big deal. Maybe you can have a moderator move it so you can get more recommendations.

I bought my DD (10U) a 11.75" Shoeless Jane glove and she loves it. The leather was on the softer side when we got it so break in was not bad at all. It has held up really well over the course of 18 months she has been using it. I bought the glove knowing that it would be on the smaller end and would have to get another glove due to the size, but for the size of her hand at the time going up to a bigger glove would not have worked for her.

I can't recommend Bradley Gloves enough. My DD uses a 12" oryx trap Bandito (she hates the Velcro so she uses "baseball" gloves). I've been VERY impressed.

I have been eyeballing the bandit for a minute but there is just not alot of reviews out there. Im still so new to this, not sure what the difference is between baseball gloves or softball gloves and what is the way to go. I know I dont know a thing about breaking in a glove and dont really wanna have something that is too heavy or stiff. She will get easily discouraged if its a PITA to break in and cant play it for a month or 2. Also considering her other glove is literally falling apart I need a fast transition period.. Really wish I would have done this a few months back. Now we have State's next week and I'm so stressed that that game winning catch is gonna fall right out of her old glove... lol Softball issues!
