CORE!?? we need your input here. ;) All I see on the site is that it is "spring loaded"? Can't wait to hear about this bat.

Hahaha, looks like it may be since its a gapped bat (sorry, spring loaded...haha), except continuing with Wilson strategy...its 400 bucks

Now, I wanna hear the same b!tching and whining from people who were complaining about Easton doing an ASA only bat :)
Why do I think Wilson wont get the backlash like Easton got from folks on forums

Cant beat 'em, join 'em I guess. Nice to see the "leader" in bats following suit.

But if everybody remembers, I did say this was gonna happen...not tooting my own horn or anything ;)

Next prediction, bat expert will come in here and say how good it is and link his site...hahaha

I know, that wasn't too bold of a prediction :)

I think it will be interesting on how it holds up or if it holds up better than the ghost does with the harder hitters.

I dont see how It can be viewed as anything but Wilson/Demarinis answer or attempt to get into the same specific category as Eastons Ghost. Id be willing to bet that In a few months they will do the same thing Easton did and release a USSSA version as well.

I cant fault Wilson/Demarini for coming out with this bat.....the Ghost made so much noise and sold so many bats they would be falling behind the curve If they didn't. However, Ill give them shirt for two things. 1. Like the Ghost, Its ASA stamp only, forcing customers to ultimately buy two separate bats If they want to play across different sanctions......I wont give them too much guff on this one because Ive come to realise that In order to get the performance and effect that was intended with the Ghost and Prism, It kinda has to be done. They want to push the envelope as much as they can with one bat and that cant be done by having It 5 stamp rated. Not an ideal situation for a consumer but Easton and Demarini did what they had to do on this I guess to push the envelope for ASA players? 2. This Is what really chapped my rear as a consumer, even though I wouldn't have bought one either way. But, they waited 2-3 weeks after the release of the new CF series to release this bat. How many people out there would have bought this instead of a -10 CF? How many parents are out there right now about to drop another $400 after they just forked over $350 a few weeks ago trying to give their kids the best equipment their kid feels confident and excited about? While I get the business aspect of why they did It, Its still a shitbag thing to do and screams greed.

I hear what everyone is saying and can't disagree. With that said, I was so close to pulling the trigger on the Ghost that I waited too long and my DD said she would rather wait for the "next" top bat. We have always been DeMarini fans and almost all of the bats we have are theirs. That said, I may be the sucker to buy the Prism and ouch that is a high price tag. We will see....
