Home from vacation, thought I'd post some better pics of the Pro1000-6JBPRO I got from the Rawlings outlet in Myrtle Beach. The leather on this glove is incredible, super smooth, somewhat soft to the touch, very tight grain, but rock hard and super stiff! This glove is actually stiffer than my Horween Pro12TC when it was new.
Stamped 12.25", I haven't actually measured it yet but to me it looks like a true 12" glove, maybe "slightly" longer than 12"? It has a really small hand opening compared the the 3 Don Morton Pro1000's I've had before and the hand and finger stalls are very snug, definitely smaller hand size than the DM models! Once you get past what's going to be a pretty substantial break in, this would make a great girls glove that would last a very long time! I will say this, other than a free glove, this is the best deal/find I've ever run across since I've been buying and collecting gloves!
Done a "little" more research on the Spring Training X-Out gloves, basically Rawlings builds specific models and boxes them up to take to Spring Training, MLB, triple A, double A, etc. Then Rawlings reps (advisory staff) lays them out on tables for the players to go through, see what they like or what they can use. These are Pro-issue gloves in harder to get patterns and made out of all the top materials. Basically it's a way for Rawlings to get more of their product out there for people to see, more exposure if you will. There was one of these left, one of you dads needs to make a call....
