Whoa, Axe fastpitch bats are getting roasted. From what I've seen, the bats do a great job with the handle. Like Laphoneman said, it's all about personal preference. Axe fastpitch bats won't be DeMarini right now, but give them time to innovate a bit and catchup. Of course, that doesn't mean you have to wait for them. :)

Never swung one but I have one issue with them: you'll always be hitting the same spot on the barrel. Seems to me either they'll suck to keep longevity up, or they'll break faster than anything else because... you're always hitting the same spot on the barrel. Pick one.

After reading some comments, and a brief swing of one locally this morning, I have decided to order a Ghost through CoreSoftball20. My DD will be super happy.

They do reinforce the side you are hitting on...haha. They knew that from day one. I don't think they have figured out how to still give it the performance as
other bats have.

But don't worry about that side getting more hits :)

we have 3 in various sizes. The handle is great, reliability has been great. My daughter squares them up better with these than other bats we own...I attribute that to the handle and being able to release without the knob digging into her hand. I do not believe they are as "hot" as other bats we have and they tend to be heavier than stated weight and that weight seems to be more end-loaded. You can definitely feel a difference between her 31/21 cf5 and her 2017 Avenge 31/21. We typically use the axe for off season and training and the cf5 for games. If she gets in a bit of a slump or "just off" we will go to the axe for games.

My question asking "if you ever swung one" wasn't geared to you JA...haha. I guess I should hit the reply to quote button, it was to the guy right above my post :)

I’m a gimmick dad will try anything to get better results I bought 2018 axebat it was pretty tight out of the wrapper. After about 4 months of 1 a week batting practice and normal practice it started to break in. My dd loves the feel of the Handel and she hits same distance with it as her demarini or the ghost. It’s just a bat she feels confident with. Her batting average did not go up or down because of a different bat in her hands. There are no magic bats. It’s as much a mental trigger as technology break through. Buy her what she thinks she will hit best with. Then feed her confidence.

To me this is the best answer on this post! We all want our DD to be successful on the field and the best way to do that is with confidence! Get her whatever equipment she needs to boost that (with in reason of our bank accounts) and sit back and enjoy the smiles.

I agree, I try to provide whatever she thinks she works.

Whoa, Big Full Retail Price Batsite Guy! Give them time to innovate? Like another decade? Their fp bats have been on the market 6 years plus.

As usual, you post bat company drivel that only “informs” noobs and rubes. How’s that for roasting, “Batexpert”?
