I know - strange topic.

DD has a nasty little bunt that she can lay down that gets her on base nearly every time.
She has become a very good little slapper too - putting down nice soft slaps, and slapping hard out to the OF.
Recently she has also been hitting the ball very well. She has had a one hopper over the fence and several others that have been very close.

She has been swinging a Slapper bat and has been very effective with it...but her hitting coach keeps saying he would like to see her use more "traditional" bat. We are probably ready to move up sizes anyway...

I would love to get her a Ghost but when she tried a teammate's Ghost the ball jumped off the bat so much she had a hard time getting her bunt to just sit. She said she most often makes up her mind whether or not to bunt as she's stepping into the box and checking out the defense, so she can't really switch out bats at that point. Her coach almost always gives her free reign when up to bat. Now maybe she would just have to get used to the pop on the Ghost...I don't know???

DD is the same type of hitter as your DD. She tried the Ghost and the Slapper and went with the Slapper for the reasons you mention, it also gives her more barrel to work with if they come inside. She also felt the slapper was less end weighted than the Ghost giving her a little more control. Ghost certainly has it's appeal, but she's happy with her slapper.
