Demarini Warranty - Always a Voucher?

Do you always get a voucher now for a Demarini warranty claim? I just started a claim for a cracked bat, and the email I received said this:

If your bat is found to be covered under our warranty policy, you will receive an automatic email with a tracking number once your item has shipped. We cover shipping cost back to you via 2nd day air.

I assume if we were getting a voucher, it would be via email. That reads like they would be sending a bat. Maybe they just haven't updated their standard email? I'd like to try to get a different size.

Also, when people say they give a voucher for the full price of the bat, is that the MSRP regardless of what i paid for it, or is that what I paid for it through a dealer?

Hi - I just did this. I sent them the bat, and about a week later I received an email with a tracking number - and received a replacement bat (same model same size) within 3 days. I didn’t read anything about a voucher - did you see something about vouchers on their site?

Returns are usually a bat, and from the sounds of it, if it says it ships 2nd day air back to you, you are getting a bat in return.

I think for a short term, Demarini did a voucher system, which wasn't the norm for them, I think there was a situation why they did vouchers instead
of a bat...been a while so I don't recall what it was. But they are probably back to just replacing the bat as its easier.

And when they did vouchers, it was retail cost because that's what the prices are on their site. The voucher was only good on their site..

Going on what 4GD said, I think the voucher thing was so that people could just order whatever size they wanted for a return instead
of clogging up phone lines for requests of a diff size. I guess they went back to just packing a return...you have to ask them for a diff size in the return process.

There's no official way to ask for a different size that I could find. I ended up just wrapping a note around the handle in large font asking for a one inch longer bat. I'll let you know what happens.

Michele - voucher is one of the 4 possible outcomes detailed in the warranty language, but from reading on here that seemed to be what they were doing for everyone, at least for a while.

I just got a credit for the amount of the bat I had, I got a totally different bat. This was about 4 mos ago

Do you recall how long that took? They received the bat Friday morning. They say it takes them 1-2 days to decide, and if they are replacing they will ship out via 2-day shipping. I still had some hope she might have something in hand by this weekend.

Not long at all, maybe a week. I was surprised, it used to take forever when I would return slow pitch bats.
