So Cal
Thank you for the link and suggestion. We have been looking around and she is leaning towards a 2018 A2000 MA14 Superskin 12.25" Thoughts? I think I might be able to convince her to get a Vinci as well. Not sure on benefits/downside to any of the options.

Thanks in advance for any additional information.

My DD may be pickier than most girls, but she has not yet met a Wilson glove she likes the feel of on her hand. It's just a personal preference thing.

One last question - I hope. Thoughts on HoH gloves? Models? I have reached out to Drakemir as well. Thanks.

Some people on this board have bought HOH fastpitch gloves and HOH Dual Core gloves and have loved them......Sorry, I'm no help there! I like brick hard, super stiff Horween leather, or exclusives, or customs, and neither of those will do your young daughter any good. I bought Anna a retail 12" Pro206-6CB, leather is fantastic, the size, the shape, the build construction are all great......the camel colored laces that came in that glove were a joke, very disappointing!! We broke it in and she immediately fell in love with it, I honestly NEVER thought she'd drop her custom 12" Vinci, but once the HOH was broken in to her liking, she's changed for good.

She used the glove for 2+ months and I had this glove re-laced in tan Tanners lace, complete transformation! Couldn't believe how much those factory camel shoestring laces stretched.

Rawlings has released a orange/tan version of the glove Anna uses, it's a Pro206-6JTB.

And a few pics of Anna's camel Pro206-6CB when/while it was being re-laced. TXJames, pretty obvious we like baseball gloves, no velcro!

Anna's pretty small, but for those concerned about the wrist size opening without velcro, I re-laced her glove using the Wilson-Pedroia button lap method, works great for Anna.

I think the MA14 will be a lot of glove for your 10, soon to be 11 year old, and she's using an 11.5" glove right now that she's used to, and probably likes......I think a .5" jump to a 12" glove is probably where she needs to be. But only you two can answer that??

The link to that All-Star glove goes against everything that (I) like in a glove, (an actual fastpitch glove with velcro) but I thought in this case with her age it's a pretty good choice.....but if you're willing to spend that kind of money on an A2000 Super Skin glove which is actually double the price of that All-Star, I'd contact Drakemir and ask about a 12" mesh MEO24-M, their mesh is the equivalent to Wilson's Super Skin. And through Drakemir it'll be a LOT cheaper than that A2000!

My DD started using a custom 12" Vinci her first year of 12U, it was a good fit for her, worked great! Just get ready for her first real glove break-in, cause that Vinci will be stiff, and she won't like it!

I have been in contact with Drakemir and he thinks your suggestion above is perfect. Today for fun I took my daughter to a local store to try on some gloves and see what she likes the feel of, and of course nothing really worked. I tried everything possible, but she kept saying that they were too loose. The only one that kind of worked was the A2000 DP15 11.75". The other gloves were basically sliding off when held down towards the dirt.

So here are my questions:

1. Will the Vinci you suggested fit snugger? I think I have read on here that they do fit smaller hands well.
2. After going through the break-in process, will the glove be "better fit" to her hand and not be prone to sliding?

My frustration level was a little high today, but I guess I will just blame the heat and not my DD's pickiness (feels like 109 in Dallas today).

Any help would be appreciated. If the Vinci fits snugger, I will pull the trigger today and move on.

I am reading this thread and watching it. My daughter is playing for the first time at rec league in our city. It is 11-12 year olds. There are only 2 places that have gloves here: Dick's and another place. Dick's only has about 6 different gloves to try. The other had about 12 different ones, but most were $200+. I am looking at some things on eBay and trying to maybe find used locally.

I thought that my daughter was possibly the pickiest kid when it comes to gloves but it sounds like she's not alone.
My DDs experience trying on countless gloves. She a little older than yours so keep that in mind:

After multiple.trips.to try on gloves and some frustration not unlike you're going through. I lost count how many a2k, a2000, Rawlings, All Star, Nokona, Easton, Marucci, Mizunos that she tried on. Fast back, traditional, velcro, D ring and pull strap. Maddening. Mind numbing.

The 2018 a2k 1787 11.75 is her by far favorite glove. She uses it for infield play and for my taste it borderline too small but for her..she loves it. Here the thing with the a2ks and fit. Some will say they fit slugger than a2000 because of the leather. Not.sure why that is but I will say there are plenty of gloves my kid tried on that felt big in hand or finger stalls but not this one. Had to find a deal because man they're proud of them.

Her 2nd choice is the 2018 a2000 Todd Frazier 12.25. They went to a 4 loop hand stall from a 5 loop so it seemed to have snugged up the fit compared to previous models. (My guess...because some complained of large stalls.on this glove in the past.)

Good luck with the search.

Anna’s 12” Vinci’s definitely have a snugger fit than her 12” HOH. Vinci’s have smaller/snugger hand and finger stalls. BUT......her customs, just like the BV1929 and the RV1961 are all leather, the key is all these are dual welted which tightens up the finger stalls. That MEO24 I recommended is a mesh back and NOT dual welted so I honestly don’t know how tight the finger stalls are on that model?

Anna’s HOH’s wrist is laced to the tightest setting and she always wears a batting glove so she loves the way it fits her, but Vinci’s are tighter!
